B&D; Consulting Adds Cristina Caraballo to Energy & Environment Team


WASHINGTON — Cristina Caraballo has joined B&D; Consulting as a specialist in the energy, climate and environment group in the Washington, D.C. office.

A 2011 graduate of Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law, Caraballo brings legal knowledge along with public policy and environmental experience to B&D; Consulting. During law school, she served as legal extern for a Washington, D.C.-based law firm, performing legal and regulatory research on environmental and energy issues, drafting documents for proceedings before the Environmental Protection Agency and assisting with government relations and advocacy efforts. While working for Sen. George LeMieux (R-FL), Caraballo assisted the Senator's counsel with legal research regarding the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Caraballo also gained legal and policy experience working as a law clerk in the Republican National Committee's Counsel's Office and the Catholic University of America's Office of General Counsel. She was a member of the Palm Beach County Republican Executive Committee from 2007 to 2008 and volunteered with the Republican National Committee's Project Victory election campaign in 2006.

At B&D; Consulting, Caraballo will assist clients in the energy and manufacturing industries with research and implementation of federal legislative, regulatory and public policy strategies related to fossil energy, renewable energy, and renewable and alternative fuels. She will support teams that advocate for clients before the U.S. Congress, the Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as well as other policy makers in Washington, D.C.

Caraballo was a recipient of the Faculty Fellowship at the Columbus School of Law. She is a member of The Federalist Society and served in various leadership positions for the Latin American Law Student Association, the Republican National Lawyers' Association and Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity while in school. Caraballo also volunteered with Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, India, in 2008.

Caraballo is a 2007 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.
